What is TEXES Exam?
TEXES stands for “TEXAS Examinations of Educator Standards”. The TEXES Exam is a requirement for any individual who wants to teach in a public school within the “Texas” state. This test was made necessary in the U.S when many leaders and politicians came to a conclusion that there were a lot of unqualified teachers present in the country. Hence, as a reform to that situation various tests were made compulsory in different states, TEXES exam being one of them for the Texas state. Once an individual passes the TEXES exam he/she is considered to have the potential to teach in the subjects that they have mastered in. The test includes a set of multiple choice questions and even essays depending on the subjects selected by the candidate. The exam is 5 hours long and is broken down in sections.
There isn't any qualification that is needed to take the test, if anyone thinks of teaching as their career in the state of Texas and wants to pursue it then this test is for them.
ID related documents are required. Based on the examination day the candidate will be allowed to give the test. These documents should match the details that were mentioned by the candidate while he/she registered online. The documents needs to be exact that of what were previously given to the board. A nominal fee is to be paid before giving the test at the center.
There are various ways for an individual to prepare for the TEXES Exam. While some choose to go through the TEXES Study Guide others prefer going through TEXES Exam Flashcards. The materials available online are plenty and enough for a candidate to go through and additional material is available at the TEXES site as well. Numerous other sites are available too where candidates can register for certain courses that help them prepare for the TEXES test.
Registering for the test can be done online on the TEXES site for which the candidate has to create an ETS testing account. Even options for registering over the phone and through mail are possible.
For every year a certain span is provided for the candidates to apply within and give the test. The time frame might vary from year to year and therefore it is suggested that the candidates keep themselves updated to the TEXES site for all required details.
The date of the results too are posted on the site and they vary depending on the date of the examination selected by the candidate. The results are most likely to appear on the site for which the candidates can use their registered id to login and view it.
