St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated to honor the achievements of Irish people in the Month of March that’s from 14th to 17th of that month and date may change with respect to place or the organizing Country. The festival is celebrated around the world in different places, when a person would like to be an Irish. The festival is celebrated for 4-5 days from the year 1997 which usually sticks to one day and a night celebrations. The most popular cities and countries around the world that contribute to the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day are Ireland, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Texas, Kentucky, San Diego and New York City.
The 2015 festival parade would prolong with a theme for the year as it explores “the present”. The events that take part in parade and as a part of festival are as follows.
The parade occurs on Saturday every year which stays close to the day of St.Patricks or on the same day. The parade at 2015 St. Patrick’s Day stands out in the noon that’s at 12:00 noon and will be broadcasted in ABC-Channel 7!
The Parade starts at Balbo and Columbus as it proceeds towards North of Columbus Drive and stand would be at Buckingham Fountain.
Dye the Chicago river which would happen at 9:30 am on the day of Parade and that can be viewed from intersection of Michigan Ave, the river and Wacker Drive.
The parade takes place at South Boston, Massachusetts and starts at 1:00 PM. The parade is considered as the second largest parade in the country with consideration of 600,000 to 1 million viewers that include the broadcast.
The parade at Dallas takes place on 14th February around 11:00 AM with a 2 mile route which would be viewed by 125,000+ of people in. The parade has more than 90 parade float entries, 1,7000 parade participants and sponsors of the event. The parade is organized to raise funds for the ISD Dallas students and to benefit the GAABA scholarship fund.
The 2015 Kentucky State Saint Patricks Parade will begin at 1 pm on 14th of March. The day begins with Shamrock Shuffle 3k Race which starts at 8:00 AM on Vine street and festival starts after completion of the race. The celebrations include Irish music & dance, Irish food and dance, Irish imports, vendors and children’s & family activities.
The Annual Saint Patrick’s 2015 San Diego parade begins at fifth avenue at Laurel Street at 10:30 AM on 14th March. The parade includes a total of 120 parade groups with Bagpipers & high schools marching bands, Dancing groups, clowns, Representatives from Ireland, Marching and Equestrian units. The theme of this year St. Patricks parade has been set as “Celebrating Freedom and Faith”. In Balboa Park features live entertainment that has filled Irish Festival with Irish step dancers, Irish Folk singers and Brands which are lined up in the afternoon.
New York City:
The 2015 New York City St. Patrick’s Day parade is held on 17th of March and considered as the St. Patrick’s Day throughout the world. The NYC St. Patrick’s Day parade would commence on 5th Avenue which could be viewed between 44th street and 79th street and also can be viewed on NBC channel 4 from 11 am on 17th March.
