Reading and Leeds Festivals 2016

The Reading and Leeds Festival is a couple of two music festivals that are held annually in Reading and Leeds in England. This three day event takes place in August- the bank holiday weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The first part of this music festival takes place in Little John’s Far, on Richfield Avenue in central Reading while the latter festival is held in Bramham Park near Wetherby. This festival facilitates camping as well as separate site and weekend tickets apart from selling day tickets.

The Reading festival is the senior most festival of the two and also the world’s oldest surviving popular and grandeur music festival hosting performances in rock, alternative, indie, punk and metal and others. The Reading and Leeds festivals are organized by Festival Republic who was known as Carling Weekend: Reading and The Carling Weekend: Leeds for promotional purpose in 1998-2007. But back in November 2007, they switched to “Reading Festival reclaiming its prestigious name” due to the abolishment of its sponsored title after 9 years.
