Politics is a series of actions by which a set of people make collective decisions. The term Politics is generally applied to the art or science of running affairs of the state or the government. It also refers to the behavior of the people within the civil governments. However, politics is not just associated with the government. Politics can be noticed in group interactions, including corporate, academic, and religious institutions.
Politics is based on “social relations involving authority or power” and refers to the government order of public affairs within a political unit, and to the orderliness, techniques and tactics used to formulate and apply policy.
World politics is a major global discipline that studies the political and economical patterns of the world. It studies the relationship between cities, shell-states, multinational corporations, international organizations, non-governmental organizations and nation-states in the world.
It has been argued that World Politics should be narrower in scope, and that it should be differentiated from the field of international politics which understands the political relations between nation-states.
