Water a flower day is celebrated annually on 30th of May. From the nomenclature itself one can understand what the day is meant for. The day is established to instill or to develop the culture of watering the flower or plant. One must realize the importance of the plants as well as flowers in the environment and the necessity of them to the human beings.
It is unknown regarding the person or situation that helped to initiate the day. Yet, everyone is least bothered about the origin of the day and celebrates it in different styles due to the importance of the sense of the day. Whoever might have initiated and established the day must get great applause as it helps the future generation to get inculcated with the healthy habits that helps the environment as well as the society.
The celebrations differ from person to person. Most of the people often forget to water the plant and kill them unknowingly. The holiday, at least, reminds them to save the dumb beauties of the nature. Though National Plant a Flower Day is on March 12, many prefer to place a plant on the day and take oath to water it regularly. Rather, many kitty groups and organizations encourage others watering the flowers with the celebrations, utilizing the occasion of the day.
It is the occasion to say thanks to these flowers which help in various aspects of life like keeping the environment as well as our mood pleasant with the fragrance and beautiful appearance, making seeds of the food tastier (few flowers like rose and seeds of many flowers are used in cooking), enriching the beauty of the ladies (many flowers are used in cosmetics), in medicines and to men they help to impress their ladies. It is rather important to recognize the importance of the flowers and the necessity of watering them.
One can do few of the following activities in respect of the day:

“Don't be ashamed to weep; 'tis right to grieve. Tears are only water, and flowers, trees, and fruit cannot grow without water. But there must be sunlight also. A wounded heart will heal in time, and when it does, the memory and love of our lost ones is sealed inside to comfort us.” - Brian Jacques
“The earth laughs in flowers.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
“A weed is but an unloved flower.” - Ella Wheeler Wilcox
