Whether you are a man or a woman, married or unmarried, housework is a necessary evil. It is something which no one really enjoys doing but it needs to be done. But enough is enough! Everyone deserves a break and with this in mind, National no Housework day was created and it is observed on the 7th of April each year. On this day, householders should take a day off and literally laze around all day or at least not do any housework.
The main thing to do on this day is not to do any housework at any cost.
A recent survey revealed that American housewives spend an average of 17 hours a week scrubbing their houses. On this day, a good idea is to get someone else to scrub your house.
If you just do nothing, you will not be doing any housework and you will begin to feel physically rested with your heartbeat and blood pressure decreasing you will feel much less stressed.
It is important to make others in the house aware of this day and what you intend to do (or rather, what you intend not to do). Hence do leave written messages around the house well in advance, so that your family members will expect you not to do any housework on that day.
The best way to celebrate National no Housework Day is to get out of the house and do what you like best – shopping, eating out or catching a movie or all of the above. Most of all, have lots of fun on this day.
