National Crab Meat Day 2016

Crab Meat Recipe

Here is a simple crab meat recipe which you can use on National Crab Meat Day:

California Crab-Grilled Cheese Toast

Ingredients

  • Boiled Crab meat – 1 pound
  • Sun dried tomatoes (chopped) – 3 tablespoons
  • Dijon Mustard – 2 tablespoons
  • Bread (medium-sized loaf) – 8 slices
  • Brie Cheese – ¾ cup
  • Avocado (peeled and sliced) – 1
  • Lemon Juice – 2 tablespoons
  • Mayonnaise – 3 tablespoons
  • Dill (fresh, chopped) – 1½ teaspoons
  • Butter – 3 tablespoons
  • Watercress – 1½ tablespoons

Method

  1. Mix the crab meat, tomatoes, mustard, dill, lemon juice, tomatoes and mayonnaise in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  2. Butter the bread on one side and using the unbuttered sides, sandwich the crab meat mixture in between the unbuttered sides of the bread.
  3. Toast the sandwiches lightly for about 4 to 5 minutes.
  4. Serve hot accompanied with a salad of your choice, or you can just use a dip of garlic mayonnaise or tomato ketchup.
