A chip usually refers to a snack made of potato or corn but it can also be made up of cereals and other food products. It may be either baked or fried. As a chip tends to be rather dry, some people like to dip their chips in a sauce. National Chip and Dip Day is celebrated on the 23rd of March each year. The origin of this holiday is not known. It is not a holiday which has been ratified by Congress.
One of the most important things on this day is to eat lots of chips along with your favorite dips. Chips are usually considered junk food but on this day, you can ignore all those warnings and indulge yourself. After all, it’s just for a day.
