Johannes Brahms was son of Johanna Henrika Christiane Nissen and Johann Jakob Brahms. His father was a multi-skilled person and well adept in playing various instruments. His parents later on separated due to some personal reasons. He was a great pianist and very famous for introducing new genres. He wrote more that 200 songs in his remarkable and notable career.

Birth:Johannes Brahms was born on May 7, 1833 in Hamburg Germany and died on April 3, 1897.


He went for the basic education in the nearby area and then he developed an inclination towards creative arts like composing and playing musical instruments.


He was nature lover and frequently visiting to the natural scenarios to get inspiration from. He worked for many groups like piano band, symphony orchestra, chamber ensembles. He contributed for the voice and chorus also to many contributors. In the remarkable year of 1883 he met Joseph Joachim, violin fame and he actually identified Johannes’ talent. He introduced him to the groups like Robert Schumann who evaluated the work periodical “Neue Zeitschrift für Musik” of Brahms. This article created a sensation and he became a musical icon with the passage of time.


Brahms’s music got so much popularity and he became a romantic icon in the second half of the nineteenth century. He was very famous for his subtle observation and support to the musical upliftment movements at that time. Brahms frequently visited many business events for the keynote contributions. He traveled many places for two reasons first for business engagements and second for personal pleasure. From 1878 onwards he started going to the places like in springtime where he usually sought out an encouraging rural scenes. Here he composed most of his works. In 1889 he played his famous Hungarian dance music which got excessive popularity at different platform and stages.


He received many recognitions and award at various platforms. He became the most talented debut artist in the musical competitions. Many organizations and agencies approached him for the empanelment in their musical bench. He visited and chaired the contemporary musical groups in the positions like assessor, judge, etc. In the remarkable year 1989 he was honored as the honorary citizen of Hamburg. Brahms’s high quality compositions and contributions helped him in getting name and fame.
