This event was held for the very first time in an airplane hangar at the Reykjavik Airport. It has since become one of the premier events for new music – in the world. This festival has now become a benchmark for party spirit and a friendly atmosphere. Journalists have called it the hippest weekend to attend – for music lovers. The event is infused by a celebratory air all weekend long. The zest for music among the attendees is unbelievable.
Many well known musical groups have played at this event since its inception in 2009. Groups like Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The Bravery (2004) and the Rapture (2002) played at this festival – and it helped to launch their careers.
