Human Rights day is celebrated on 10th December as a consideration of an honour to the first global enunciation of human rights.  The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was on 10th December 1948.

Louise Arbour, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said in this regard, "Human rights are our common heritage and their realization depends on the contributions that each and every one of us is willing to make, individually and collectively, now and in the future."

What are Human Rights?

Although many broad discussions of Human Rights are being in the top columns from time of its inception as global awareness but the greater part of the people are unaware of its real power. We are human beings living in the earth and we do have to respect each other irrespective of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. According to the universal declaration of human rights by the United Nations Organisations it is an education to promote respect for the human rights and freedoms to have progressive measures of national and international securing universal and effective recognition and observance.

Why Human Rights?

We have to be proud of being human. We do insist that we human beings should have Human rights. Human Rights are like oxygen for us. These rights can give a good and respected life to each individual. It is a big reason of living as a human being otherwise there won’t be any discrepancy between humans and other living things. It is now the real time to realize the fact of Human Rights properly.

Celebrations of Human Rights Day

Every year Human Rights Day is being celebrated in an auspicious way on 10th December. Taking part in human rights celebration is a need for every human being as it is a sign our individual strategy to live like a respected individual life. The Human Rights Day is a high point in the calendar of UN headquarters in New York City, United States. It has been observed that many governmental and nongovernmental organizations are active in the human rights field and they celebrate human rights day in a gorgeous fashion.

Reason of Promoting Human Rights Day

We, human beings need to know the value of Human rights. If there is no right for human beings in these present days we may not survive a single day. The earth is a place for all living beings. We human beings also live here and we need to allow others to live a respected life. We have to give value to each human being irrespective of any conditions. We need to promote this motto all over the world particularly uneducated places where people are living without having moral values. In these days of nuclear expansion we have to promote human values in a broader manner. In general, Human Rights Day is noticeable by both high-level political conferences and meetings and by artistic proceedings and presentations, which deal with human rights issues.
