The Eurockéennes de Belfort is one of the major rock music festivals in eastern France that takes place every year on a peninsula of Lake Malsaucy, near Belfort. This three day cultural event for youth occurs during the first weekend of July and concerts happen on different stages around this area.
First started in 1989, the festival was earlier called as Le Ballon –Territoire de musiques, named after the nearby place Ballon d’Alsace. But in 1990 the festival has been renamed as Eurockéennes de Belfort which is the combination of two words rock and européennes (Europeans). The tourist attractions and best camping sites create a beautiful ambiance to this event drawing the attention of music lovers from all over the world.
Eurockéennes de Belfort is a collective and open international rock festival for all which is lead by moral values. This festival offers all kinds of music to the people from headliners or the former stars to the upcoming artists. With approximately 75 concerts happening simultaneously on different stages each year, tourists and locals enjoy coming to this place for good music as well as the beautiful surroundings.
