Eurockeennes de Belfort 2016

The Eurockéennes de Belfort is one of the major rock music festivals in eastern France that takes place every year on a peninsula of Lake Malsaucy, near Belfort. This three day cultural event for youth occurs during the first weekend of July and concerts happen on different stages around this area.

First started in 1989, the festival was earlier called as Le Ballon –Territoire de musiques, named after the nearby place Ballon d’Alsace. But in 1990 the festival has been renamed as Eurockéennes de Belfort which is the combination of two words rock and européennes (Europeans). The tourist attractions and best camping sites create a beautiful ambiance to this event drawing the attention of music lovers from all over the world.

  • One of the major attractions of Eurockéennes de Belfort is the live performances of diverse range of artists on famous stages including la Grande Scene, le Chapiteau, la Loggia and la Plage. This musical gala allows the spectators to enjoy various genres of rock music, including electro, metal, pop music, reggae, folk etc.
  • Another major attraction of this event is its scenic beauty and well organized campsite. With more than 20 years of existence, the Eurockéennes de Belfort concerts happen in the middle of beautiful settings surrounded by attractive lakes and hills. Located at the close distance from the main stages, most of these campsites have all amenities to keep visitors occupied including food & drink stalls, entertainment and dancing.
