  • The first festival held in 2004 brought together around 10,000 people.
  • The year 2006 saw 55,000 people in attendance.
  • The Bestival Music Festival was named as the best main festival in the UK by the UK Festival Awards in 2006 and 2010.
  • Initially for the first couple of years a small number of bands performed in the Bestival Music Festival, only seven or eight bands. However, as it became more famous, more bands began to take interest in the festival and over twenty bands are expected to perform in 2012.
