Childhood Time

Adolf Hitler was born in the small Austrian town of Braunau on 20th April, 1889. The parents of Hitler were from poor farmers families. His father, Alois Hitler, was the illegal son of a maid. He was enterprising person and he became a customs official.

Hitler's interest in his school time was art. His father was infuriated when it was cleared by Hitler that he wanted to become an artist. His father wanted Hitler to join civil service. The conflict between Hitler and his father worsened and stretched till the death of Alois Hitler in 1903.

Personal Life

At the age of thirteen Hitler lost his father. No financial crunch was felt by the family. The Hitler family possessed their own home and they also got a lump sum and a decent civil service pension.
In 1907 Klara Hitler (mother of Hitler) died from cancer. This event brought major loss in the life of Hitler than the demise of his father. He retained her photograph wherever he went and, it is said, he had it at the time of his death in 1945.

Hitler’s Professional Achievements/Awards

Hitler wanted to be in the army. He was not willing to serve Austria so he neglected his call-up papers. Leaving the idea of serving Austria he joined the German Army.

Hitler clinched five medals during his tenure that includes prestigious Iron Cross in the First World War. He was appointed as a political officer. Hitler was to teach politics to the soldiers. Drexler (Hitler’s senior) was impressed with Hitler's potential as an orator and asked him to join the party. Hitler's rapport as an orator grew and it became clear that because of him people were joining the party. In September 1921, Hitler was sent to jail for three months for being part of a crowd who beat up a rival politician.

When Hitler came out of prison, he started his own private army Sturm Abteilung (Storm Section).

Hitler’s Believes

Hitler believed Jews were accountable for pornography, prostitution and art which Hitler hated. He also said that the Jews were also the cause behind losing the First World War. Hitler's reign witnessed the systematic murder of almost 17 million civilians including nearly six million Jews in the Holocaust and between 500,000 and 1,500,000 in Roma.

His Death

Hitler had been instrumental in the rise of fascism in Europe, Holocaust and World War II.  In the concluding days of the war, during the fight for Berlin in 1945, Hitler married his mistress, Eva Braun. To avoid imprisonment by Soviet forces, the two decided to end their lives on 30 April 1945 and their bodies were burned.
