The 24-star, Kiefer Sutherland, (known as Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland), a Canadian actor, was born on December 21, 1966. He gained an Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award. His eminent character ‘Jack Bauer’ was appeared in ‘24’, a FOX Television thriller drama series, commenced in 2001.
Sutherland and Rachel (Sutherland’s sister, both were twins) were born in Saint Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London. His parents; Donald Sutherland and Shirley Douglas, both were Canadian winning actors. He was Scottish. He owned both Canadian and British citizenships. His family shifted to Corona, California. Later, his parents were divorced in 1972.
Kiefer Sutherland shifted to Toronto, (Ontario, Canada) in 1975. He joined an elementary school at Crescent Town Elementary School in East York, Toronto. He studied in five various high schools in Toronto. He also studied a semester at Regina Mundi Catholic College in London, Ontario, Canada; meanwhile he attended the weekend acting classes at Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School.
Kiefer Sutherland made his first and best performance in the film ‘Stand By Me’ in the United States. He starred in about 70 pictures since 2008. He was introduced into Canada's Walk of Fame in Toronto in 2005. He featured in an article "Alone in the Dark with Kiefer Sutherland" in 2006. He toned the Apple Computer Advertisement announcement of Intel chips in Macintosh computer line.

At first, Sutherland wedded Camelia Kath on September 12, 1987. They had only one daughter, Sarah Jude (1988). After three years, the couple had divorced in 1990.
Later, He wedded Kelly Winn. They were separated in 1999, and appealed for divorce in 2004, but legally split in 2008.
In 2008, a gossip was spread when he was dating with Siobhan Bonnouvrier, by Allure magazine’s style director.
Sutherland was arrested for drunken driving accusation on September 25, 2007. This was the second time for him (already faced the same problem in 2004). He was outrun alcoholic limit, and failed in a field sobriety test. He was not claimed to combat against the DUI charge, and was convicted to jail for 48 days. Later, he was bailed on $25,000.
Currently, Sutherland facing a ‘five-year probation period’ for his Second DUI conviction in Los Angeles.
Frank Mateljan, L.A. City Attorney spokesperson said to PEOPLE magazine, "Our office intends to contact the NYPD and New York prosecutors to review the incident and determine whether Mr. Sutherland violated probation."
An L.A.criminal defense attorney, Steve Sitkoff (not involved with the case) says, "If Sutherland's found in violation of probation for battery, and if he was intoxicated at the time, he could very well be sentenced to another 48 days or more."
A ‘probation violation’ denotes ‘a return to jail’. Sutherland jailed for 48 days on the 2nd DUI conviction.
According to The New York Daily News reports, “The 24 star, who allegedly headbutted a fashion designer at a party early Tuesday, will surrender to New York authorities to face a third-degree assault charge.”
The Daily News reports, “The actor will be issued a desk appearance for the misdemeanor, with no jail term and no restrictions on travel before his accusation.”
