Kurt Warner who is an American football quarterback was born on June 22, 1971 to parents Gene and Sue Warner. Kurt Warner was 6 when his parents get divorced and after a year his father again gets married to Mimi Post Warner who also had a son named Matt.
Kurt Warner completed his education in 1990 from Reighs High school in Cedar Rapids and after that he went to the University of Northern Iowa.
After completing the college Kurt Warner joined the Green bay packers training camp but soon Kurt Warner released that camp and returned back to Northern Iowa to work as an assistant coach in hope of getting the tryout with an NFL team. When no NFL team was willing to give him a chance he signed the Iowa Barnstormers in 1995 and get back to the Arena Football League. In 1996 and 1997 Kurt Warner was named in the AFL’S All Arena First Team and also considered as the twelfth best player.
Due to his reputation he was signed by the St. Louis Rams and was allocated to the NFL Europe’s Amsterdam Admiral.
During 1998 Warner was named as the backup quarterback for the St. Louis Rams. Due to the injury of Trent Green Warner took over as the Ram’s tentative starter. Kurt Warner made a record of 4,353 yards with 41 touchdown passes and a completion rate of 65.1%. Kurt Warner was considered as the only NFL quarterback in history who threw three touchdown passes in each of the first three NFL starts. After making a brilliant record Kurt Warner was named the 1999 NFL MVP at the season's end.
Kurt Warner also made a victory against the Tennessee Titans in the NFL playoffs in Super Bowl XXXIV. Due to his performance Kurt Warner was awarded by the Super Bowl MVP and become the sixth player to win both the league MVP and Super Bowl MVP awards in the same year.
In 2000 Kurt Warner posted the 19 touch down passes but in the middle of the campaign he broke his hand due to which he missed it. Even after that Warner and Green duo led the Rams to the highest team with 5,232 net yards in NFL history.
In 2001 Kurt Warner quickly returned to his form which he lost in his 1999 performance with 36 touchdown passes and 4,830 passing yards. In three seasons Kurt Warner was also named as the NFL MVP for the second time. In Super Bowl XXXVI, Kurt Warner threw for 365 yards which is the 3rd-highest total in Super Bowl.
Kurt Warner again performed as a starter in 2002 season starter by throwing seven interceptions against only one touchdown. After fumbling six times in the opener against the New York Giants Kurt Warner was replaced as the Rams' starting quarterback.
On June 1, 2004 Kurt Warner was released by the Rams and after two days Kurt Warner signed a two-year deal with the New York Giants. In the same year Kurt Warner again started as the starting quarterback and win five of his first seven games but due to his several poor performances Kurt Warner was replaced by Eli Manning.
In 2005, Kurt Warner again signed a $4-million contract with the Arizona Cardinals for one year but he soon replaced by Josh McCown due to his injury. McCown played so well that he became the starter for the remainder of the season. After sometime Green re-inserted Kurt Warner and he defeated his former team the Rams by a score of 38-28. On February 14, 2006 Kurt Warner signed a new three-year deal with the Cardinals which gave them $18 million as a salary. In the same year Kurt Warner won the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award in a match against San Francisco.
In 2007 Kurt Warner finished the season with 27 passing touchdowns which help in earning a 1 million dollar bonus for the year. In 2008, Kurt Warner wins his former team the St. Louis Rams by 34-10 and was named as the starting quarterback for the NFC team in the 2009 Pro Bowl.
On October 11 1997 Kurt Warner married to Brenda Carney Meoni who was a veteran from the United States Marine Corps and a divorcee with two children. In 1996 tornado she had lost her parents Larry and Jenny Carney as well as her home. Kurt Warner officially adopted the Brenda’s children after their marriage.
Kurt Warner promotes his volunteer efforts by appearing in several public service announcements for Civitan International. Kurt Warner was featured in a political advertisement in Missouri for opposing a bill supporting embryonic stem cell research. Kurt Warner is also very loyal to his 'First Things First' foundation which comprises of numerous projects for causes like children's hospitals, people with developmental disabilities and assisting single parents.
