Grand Park is located at Downtown Chicago. The Architect of Chicago is Burnham, D.H.; Bennett, Edward H. Grand Park was added to NRHP (U.S National Register of Historical Places) on July 21, 1993. NRHP Reference is 92001075 and government body is local.

GRAND PARK History:

Grand Park is a huge park of 319 acres or 1.29 Square kilometer in the loop community area of Chicago, Illinois, United States.

The unique idea for the town of Chicago left the area east of Michigan Avenue unsubsidized and vacant, and purchasers of Michigan Avenue plenty were promised that it would remain empty. After the former Fort Dearborn changed as the division of the town site (1839), the plat of the east area of Michigan Avenue south of Randolph was named "Public ground. Forever to remain empty of buildings."

GRAND PARK Features:

Millennium Park:

The northwestern place of the park was renovated in between 1998-2004 to develop into a neighboring park with a variety of imaginative facial appearance by some of the world's primary architects and artists. Millennium Park, the award-winning center for design of art, architecture landscape and music.

Daley Bicentennial Plaza:

The northeast place for the park hosts outdoor interests at Daley Bicentennial Plaza

Art Institute Of Chicago:

Art Institute of Chicago is located on the western edge of Grant Park, premier art museums and schools in the US, known specially for the extensive album of Impressionist and American art, such as Grant Wood's American Gothic.

Buckingham Fountain:

Buckingham Fountain, one of the largest fountains in the world. It Located in the middle of Grant Park. In 1927 Buckingham fountain was dedicated as a gift to the city from Kate Sturges Buckingham in remembrance of her brother Clarence Buckingham. Chicago's Museum Campus (57 acre (230,850 m²) is located on the southern end of the Grant Park's.

Children's Museum:
