Vermont State Fair 2017

Vermont State Fair is one of the wonderful eyes catching annual state fair held in Rutland, Vermont. It is generally held at the Vermont State Fairgrounds and is a two week event.  Vermont State Fair will be generally held in mid-September. The event gains the reputation of a grand fair with the presence of exhibitors, retailers and seller from all around the world.

Vermont State Fair History

It was in 1859, the first Rutland Fair was held at Rutland which was then known as the Rutland County Park. The fair was known as the "Rutland Fair" in the beginning and it was in 1972, the name got changed to the "Vermont State Fair". In the beginning the fair was a one day event, which later moved on to a two day event and in 1893 the Fair lasted for three days. The Fair became a six day event by 1893. Now the event is held in mid-September and lasts for about two weeks. Visitors of different ages from all over the world attend Vermont State Fair every year.
