May is part of the spring season and it makes a perfect timing to plant and grow some flowers. It is the time of the year where spring is about to end and summer is slowly making its presence felt. Similarly, this is the season where flowers renews after the cold season, and prepares to be in full bloom during the hot season. Flowers that grow in May make a great addition to any garden, especially that most of them have vivid colours that breathe vibrancy and life.

Yarrow

One of its best descriptions would be “a flower with million petals.” This flower is known to have medicinal and healing properties, and Native Americans have been using it for centuries. What make it attractive are its yellow vivid colours and its long stem that makes yarrow standout the more.

Amaryllis

Popularly known as belladonna lily, amaryllis grows in rows of two. Its bright colours including red, orange, and pink are always attention-grabber, the reason why it makes an excellent addition to any garden. Perfect to be grown in the month of May, the coming of summer makes the bright colours of amaryllis even more vibrant. Amaryllis flowers are large flowers with trumpet-like shape. Apart from the garden, amaryllis may also be grown indoors.

Lilac

Nothing beats a garden full of lilac flowers. When in bloom, the lilac flower, especially the purple-coloured ones, is simply captivating. Peach Blossoms

The ending of spring and the coming of summer is made even more beautiful with the blooming of peach blossoms, a flower that has a high regard in the Vietnamese culture. Peach flower also serves as the state flower of Delaware.

Rose

Rose has more than a hundred of varieties, and most of its varieties thrive in the month of May. Being a classic flower, it has become a favourite flower for any occasion due to its beauty and elegance. Added to that, roses are always available in any time of the year. Its variety of colors also makes it a favourite in all flower arrangements.

Stargazer

As the name suggests, this flower has the shape of the star. It is a variety of the lily flower, and what makes it very unique, apart from its star-like shape, are the freckles that are prominent in its pink petals. It is sweet-smelling as well.

Sweet Pea

The soft-looking petals of sweet pea make this flower very delicate. It also possesses a very sweet and nice fragrant, making it a great addition to flower collection. This flower beautifully blooms in the month of May. However, its loveliness only spans in a short while since sweet peas have a relatively short life.
