Christmas Movies - Christmas is the time for celebration of love, togetherness and happiness. This is the occasion when all the members of the family, their close relatives and friends get together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. What could be a better way to celebrate Christmas than watching good Christmas movies.
Many moviemakers also take advantage of Christmas holidays by planning the release of their movies during the festival as everyone is in a relaxed and festive mood and do not mind to splurge. While some movies are based on the legends associated with the festival like Santa Claus or Red Reindeer, others have their stories set in the background of Christmas.
Most of the Christmas movies end on a happy note as the moviemakers does not want to mar the festive spirit among the moviegoers and want to send them happy and satisfied.

Family Christmas: is a musical comedy film that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Based on a TV series 'A Muppet Family Christmas', the movie revolves around Doc who wants to spend his Christmas holidays in the countryside. Fozzie bear hosts the Doc at her mother's farmhouse during the holidays who are joined by Sesame Street regulars like Big Bird, Bert and Ernie and others. The movie shows how everyone joins the Christmas celebrations and enjoys the festive spirit.
A Christmas Carol: is based on the story of Charles Dicken by the same name. The movie revolves around Ebeneezer Scrooge, played by Alastair Sim, who is a miser and very cruel to his subordinates. Three ghosts representing his past, present and future visit him on the eve of Christmas and show him his cruel side. The movie ends with a reformed Ebeneezer Scrooge who has learnt that the real meaning of Christmas is sharing.
Christmas Vacation: is a comedy flick which revolves around Christmas celebrations in the Griswold family, which goes on a lookout for a perfect Christmas tree. When they find the perfect Christmas tree after many comic sequences, they realize they have no saw. However, they dig the tree from the ground after a lot of hard work and take the log to their house. There are lot of comic sequences on the Christmas eve like one of the relatives of the family burns the Christmas tree and others.
Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer: is based on the legend of reindeer that pulls the sleigh in which Santa Claus traverses all over the world. The movies shows how Rudolph, who is embarrassed because of his red nose as all his friends avoid him, is turned into a hero for helping Santa reaching out to kids.
Santa Claus is comin' to Town: is a happy movie for the whole family which revolves around Kris Kringle who gives toys and happiness all the children of Slumbertown.
