Who Wrote the Kyoto Protocol?

The Framework Convention of Climate Change is one of the three conventions introduced in the Rio Earth Summit held in 1992. The other two are Convention to Combat Desertification and Convention on Biological Diversity. While all three are concerning the environment, the ultimate goal of UNFCCC is to curtail the human activities that harm the climate system. The members of the UNFCCC set the Kyoto protocol, negotiated it in December 1997 and enforced it in February 2005.
