What are bed and breakfast by owner?

Is a Christian Bed & Breakfast owner committing a sin by allowing an unmarried couple to stay in their home?

Description : If a B&B owner knew a couple staying in their home was not married, yet they let them stay in a double bed in their hotel, would they be complicit in any fornication that may occur and thereby committing a sin? If so would they be within their rights to refuse them from staying there?

Answer : Not that Christ condones sin of any kind, but He DID lay down His Life for the sins of ALL mankind, past, present, and future! I remember reading that Christ ate with tax collectors and all kinds of sinners and when questioned about this by the pharisees, what was His response? To paraphrase, it is the sick who are in need of a doctor, not the well! Perhaps God Himself put the unmarried couple at that B&B for the purpose of coming to believe in Jesus Christ and getting saved through the witness of the B&B owner or some other faithful witness. God Bless!

Is it customary to tip the owners when you stay at a bed and breakfast?

Description : My girlfriend and I have started staying at a bed and breakfast when we visit her family, and we're never quite sure whether to leave a tip in our room for the married couple who own and run the place by themselves.

Answer : If your room has been serviced while you are there. Leave a tip in the room. If you were served breakfast then leave a tip on the breakfast table. You dont have to do this everyday, you can stay the whole weekend and then just tip on the departure day. Even if it is the owners that are cleaning and serving, you should still leave a tip for the services.

Is It Appropriate to Tip the Cleaning Person at a Bed and Breakfast?

Description : I've never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, and I don't know if it's appropriate to leave a tip for the person who cleans up the room. I always leave a tip each day at a hotel or motel, but the maid is an employee. At a B&B, the owners are apt to be the ones doing the cleaning, and I'm not sure if they would be offended by the tip or not. If not, is five dollars an appropriate tip for a Midwestern B&B? Thanks in advance for the help. Yes, that is $5 per day -- not $5 total. I will also remember to leave the tip in dollar bills. I never even considered that aspect before. Thanks for the info, everyone!

Answer : I use to clean rooms at a resort, $5 is great. If you don't tip, that is fine too. If you are going to tip, get one dollar bills, that way if there is more than one cleaner they can easily split the tip without running to the front desk to make change. No one will be offended with free money. Enjoy your stay.

Married by someone ordained online?

Description : I worry my friends won't be legally married. Read the law I've added below and let me know if you agree. They have plans to be married at a bed and breakfast where the owner was ordained online free of charge. She's a Catholic but doesn't attend services. I researched Missouri law and understand it to mean the minister has to be affiliated with an organization and one or both of them have to belong to the same one. This is the link to the following paragraph that worries me. http://www.open-ministry.org/state-marriage-laws.php?state=MO Marriages may be solemnized by any clergyman, either active or retired, who is in good standing with any church or synagogue in this state. Marriages may also be solemnized, without compensation, by any judge, including a municipal judge. Marriages may also be solemnized by a religious society, religious institution, or religious organization of this state, according to the regulations and customs of the society, institution or organization, when either party to the marriage to be solemnized is a member of such society, institution or organization. I'm sure those sites offering to ordain people get something out of it. License suitable for framing etc... I was going by the Missouri law that I read online.

Answer : I would call the county clerk myself. I see the same thing you do.

Some Likes and Don't Likes: What is the Best Career For me? (Need Career Advice)?

Description : Hi Everyone: I can't figure out what career/job to do for the life of me. I have a list of likes and dislikes from all the jobs I've had in the past, which include: Snowboard Instructor, Waiter, Grocery Store Clerk, Dorm Supervisor, NASA Research Asst, C++ Programmer, Java Programmer, International Sales (Europe), Mate on a Megayacht, Owner of 17 Person Software Company in Manhattan, Owner/Worker @ Bed and Breakfast. I live by the ocean (Atlantic) and I'm not willing to move inland I have a BS in Physics. Does anyone know, given the following list, what career might be best? Likes: Marketing, Inventing/Creating, Efficiency, Flexible Schedule, Varied Tasks, Balance of Computer and Real Life, Solving Problems, Mental Challenge, Learning, Nice Scenery/Air, Being Me (not fake), Working Close to Home, Doing Unorthodox Things Dislikes: Dealing Heavily With People, Commuting, Structure, Collections, Schedules, Worrying About Employees, Competition, Dressing Up, Acting Fake I should add that I can start small, non-capital intensive businesses too... not just work for others. For the Burger King promoter: I'm 35. I like young people a lot, but Burger King isn't going to pay the bills.

Answer : You sound like an introvert. With a degree in Physics, have you considered consulting as a profession? Flexible hours, pick and choose the jobs you want to take, no "boss" to answer to so you can be yourself without having to toe the company line. You may have to travel occasionally to meet with a client. WIth all your listed skills, creating your own website to advertise your skills isn't a stretch. Also, there's no need to limit yourself to one area of expertise, and there are companies out there that act as "agents" for freelancers. Good Luck!

What to name a fictional restaurant?

Description : Alright, so I'm having trouble coming up with a name for a fictional restaurant. Here are is what I have decided about the restaurant. It would be in Asheville, NC. It is very fancy, expensive, and high-end (modern) Serves mainly Asian/Chinese and steaks. There are however vegetarian choices. Is up in the mountains and is run by the owner of a bed and breakfast. It's a very popular and trendy restaurants that even the hippies love because this restaurant uses vegetables, fruits, meats, etc that are all local (within in a days drive from there). I can't come up with a name because, well I'm not good at creating the perfect name for anything like that. So, any suggestions or tips on how to name this fictional restaurant?? Alright, I just decided that the restaurant will NOT serve steaks. It will only serve Asian, Chinese, and Thai food.

Answer : KHÂO and KOME or Oryza

I wrote earlier asking opinions of marketing travel size personal products for men, women and children at?

Description : flea markets. Again, they would be from upscale companies. The responses varied from excellent to poor idea. The reason I a posing a similar question is because a variety of people participate on this site. Would selling on e-bay, distributing brochures to local stores, gyms, stylists be a more profitable venture? My husband and I are very excited about selling products such as these because they make good gifts for hosts and hostesses, moms and dads, bed and breakfast owners, real estate and insurance brokers and more, esp. for people on a budge because they will be sold either individually or in pretty sets,no set costing more than $15.00. The airline restriction for liquids is not a biggie, because who people go away for weekends generally travel by car. In conclusion, would this then be better than having a flea market booth? Marketing thru a website would be too expensive. ($1000?) We are professionals trying to creatively earn extra, tho we have no idea if we would.

Answer : I think that the best place to sell these would be at Marathon Expos. Thousands of people go thru these expos and many of them have travelled to the city the race is in and may well need some of the products you are selling. To become a vendor at an expo, you go to the marathon's website (you can put in a search for any big city marathon - Los Angeles, Boston, ect.,) and there is usually a place to click on expo and then "become a vendor." Another thing you might try is to rent a Kiosk in a mall.

What are some great places to stay in OLAS ALTAS, MAZATLAN MEXICO?

Description : Looking to stay at a really sweet place with my girlfriend in Mazatlan. Not into staying in the golden zone, I'd rather just party there when I feel like it. We want to stay in Olas Altas, somwhere charming, fun, and well run by the owners, with great views and food. Hotel or bed and breakfast, or anywhere else is great with us as long as it isn't some dump, or some hotel chain. THANKS!

Answer : There are quite a few cool places, you won't really go wrong with any of them, but I really like these two the best; Old Mazatlan Inn - not good if you don't like, or cannot handle stairs, but if you can, the views from just the pool are worth it alone! Casa de Leyendes - again, there are several great places, but their location makes them a notch above in my book, 1/2 block from the malecon/beach, 3 blocks from Plazuela Machado, and situated right among some great shops and museums. Another neat place is Hotel Machado, right on the Plazuela. Very newly opened by a local and restored beautifully! Great location! Do a search for any of them, if you can't find it, email me at ; sndypool@yahoo.com and I will get websites and/or emails for you.
