University of San Diego (USD) is a Roman Catholic university established in the year 1949. It is located at San Diego, California. The USD College of Arts and Science

The College of Arts and Science provides graduate and undergraduate programs in disciplines of Arts and Science.  The graduate courses are offered in Master of Fine Arts in Dramatic Arts, Master of Arts in History, Master of Arts in International Relations and Master of Science in Marine Science. And 28 undergraduate major programs are provided in subjects like  Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, History, Interdisciplinary Humanities, Art History, Biochemistry, French Ethic Studies and Anthropology.

School of Business Administration

This Business School is among the very few which have received accreditation from Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AASCB) and Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology (ABET). The undergraduate business program is ranked among the best 30 in the nation and the MBA program of the School is ranked #26 by Business Week survey. The school of Business provides MBA program, Specialized Master's program and Business Leadership programs. The undergraduate majors are offered in  Business Administration, Accountancy, Business Economics, Economics, Finance, International Business, Marketing and Real Estate. School of Leadership Education and Science (SOLES)

The College under the University of San Diego provides academic programs under the departments; Leadership Studies, Marital and Family Therapy, and Learning and Teaching. SOLES offer M A, M A T, Ph D and M Ed degrees and a few certificate programs.


The USD Engineering programs are nine semester programs which is an unique Dual BA/BS program. It provides majors in Electrical Engineering, Industrial and System Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

School of Law

The school of law founded in 1954 is accredited by the American Bar Association. The school located on 180 acres of land enrolls around 7000 students choosing law as their subject of study. It is a member of the order of Coif and the Association of American law school. The college provides J D and LLM programs and M S in Legal Studies. The school also provides opportunity for continuing legal education and legal research.

Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science

The Hans School of Nursing & Health Centre is among the three institutes in California offering Ph D in Nursing and its graduate level nursing program is ranked #47 by U S News and World Report. The Commission on collegiate Nursing Education has provided its Accreditation to the bachelor and master degree offered by the college.

Real Estate Courses offered by San Diego University

The Real Estate institute which is a part of School of Business Administration offers Specialized Masters Program in real estate and undergraduate major in real estate. Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE)

The Master of Science in Real Estate under the university of San Diego offers an interactive approach of Teaching that help to develop real estate professional skills in the students. The course provided for students with foundation in real estate and related subject gives an opportunity for professional advancement in the real estate carrier. The program is offered as a 10 months full time program and 22 month part time program. The study includes 32 units program with courses in;  the Real Estate Process, Real Estate Law and Public Policy, Commercial Real Estate Finance and Investment, Strategic Management of Real Estate Assets, Real Estate Market Analysis, Design and Construction Management, Negotiations and Ethical Issues in Real Estate, The Urban and Suburban Development Process, Commercial Real Estate Valuation, Commercial Real Estate Capital Markets, Sustainable Real Estate, Real Estate Seminar and Real Estate Capstone.

MBA/MSRE joined Degree

The joined degree can be completed by covering 27 specified courses of 68 credit hours. The students can either begin with the MBA program or the MSRE program but the course sequence will be changed accordingly. The program consist of a pre program course in Financial Accounting pre-course preparation, MBTI Assessment and Career Leader Assessment and 14 course in business and 13 in real estate. By completing the prescribed courses, the students can earn both MBA and MSRE certificate.

Certificate Course in Real Estate

The University of San Diego offers two certificate programs; Certificate in Real Estate Finance, Investment and Development and Real Estate Entitlement Development and Design. Both the certificate programs are developed by the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate in collaboration with the Office of Corporate and Professional Education.

Certificate in Real Estate Finance, Investment and Development

This certificate program is designed for professionals who would like to improve their practical knowledge. The course can be earned by successfully completed six core courses of 72 hours, two electives of 24 hours and one stand alone seminar on real estate process. The program is designed to provide competitive skills related to finance, development, operation, management and market of real estate commercial project.

Certificate in Real Estate Entitlement Development and Design

The program is designed for professionals in real estate, finance and development industry. The course makes the students well trained in the processes of land use decision, entitlement, environmental impact and permitting procedures. The course involves six core courses, two elective courses and one 3 hour seminar in Real Estate process.

Undergraduate Major and minor in Real Estate

Students with major in Business Administration can opt for a major or minor in Real estate. The major course prepares the undergraduate student for carrier in real estate, investment, valuation, analysis and sales. The undergraduate course also helps the students to pursue a graduate program in the field.
