University of north Texas (UNT) is a public university, established in the year 1890 by Joshua Crittenden Chilton as the Texas Normal College and Teacher Training Institute. It is the fourth largest university in the state which is located in Denton, Texas. Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SASC) have accredited the University of North Florida. The university has been the first to introduce ageing studies program and Emergency Administration & Planning program in the country. It is also the first in the south west to offer peace studies program.

Schools and colleges under the university of North Texas

There are 11 students centered colleges and schools offering 92 bachelors, 101 masters and 48 doctorial degrees. The graduate degree of this university is coordinated with Texas women's university and Texas A&M University of commerce.

College of Arts and Sciences

This is the largest schools under the University of North Texas and provides 59 degrees in 19 departments. It offers graduate courses and doctoral degrees in different fields like political Science, Physics, Molecular biology, mathematics, environmental science, English, biology and a number of other subjects.

College of Business

The college of Business under the University of North Texas which was established in the year 1946 has been accredited by the AACSB international. Courses are offered in degrees of undergraduate, masters, doctoral and certificate courses. The college also offers joined MBA/ MS programs and 5 online/ video courses. The five academic departments under the college are Accounting; Finance, insurance, Real Estate and Law (FIREL); Information technology and decision science (ITDS); Management and Marketing and Logistics.

College of Education

The college of education was established in the year 1981wth the aim of providing education so that student's efficiency and quality can be improved. National council for accreditation of teacher association has accredited the college. The college offers graduate degrees, doctoral programs and certificate courses.

College of Engineering

 College of engineering offers undergraduates, graduate and doctorial degrees in engineering to their students. The students are given a choice of bachelor degree programs ranging from computer science, computer engineering to practical engineering technology. The master degrees offered by the college are mechanical and energy engineering, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, engineering technology, material science and mechanical engineering.

College of Music

 The National Association of Music has accredited this school with ranks the first in musical institute enrollment. Highly talented performers and composers lead the students into the world of music and the classes and coursework provided here are indeed high in standard. The college provides the best programs in composition, theory, history, jazz and a lot more. The world class jazz program offered by the college is the first of its kind in the whole of North America.

College of Public Affairs and Community Service (PACS)

The college under the University of North Texas prepares its students for carrier in public service, applied anthropology, behavioral analysis, emergency management, rehabilitation and other diverse professional area. It offers majors in Anthropology, Applied Arts and Sciences, Behavior Analysis, Criminal Justice, Emergency Administration and Planning, Gerontology, Rehabilitation Studies, Social Work, and Sociology and minors in Addictions, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Ethnic Studies, Human Services, Medical Anthropology, Public Administration and Leadership of Community and Nonprofit Organizations. The college also offers certificate courses in American Humanics and Criminology.

College of Visual Arts and Design

The college which is one of the most comprehensive visual arts schools and provides over thirty undergraduate, graduate and concentration programs. The three departments under which the different programs of study are offered includes, art education/ art history, design and studio art. The college provides BA, BFA, MA, MFA and Ph D programs which help the students to excel in the field of arts and design.
College of Information, Library Science and Technologies

The college of Information has been ranked the 20th best graduate college in the nation. The U S News and World report has ranked the Masters in Health Informatics as the second best in the nation. The three academic departments under the college are learning techniques, library and information and sciences. The college also provides an opportunity for Ph D program.

School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management

The school provides merchandising and hospitality programs which are aimed at providing the best in hospitality and home furnishing industry. The school provides graduate, undergraduate and dual degree programs. Mayborn School of journalism was established in the year 2009, providing graduate and undergraduate degree programs to the students. This school helps to prepare the students by increasing their ethical values, communication and intellectual skills. The courses offered are bachelors of Arts and Masters of Arts in Journalism and Masters in Journalism.

Toulouse School of Graduate Studies

 The college offers many undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. The college also offers online degree opportunities or the students. 111 graduate level course are provided in different areas of studies.

Texas Academy of mathematics and Science (TAMS)

This is an unique residential program which is offered for students of high school age who are interested and gifted in the subject of mathematics and Science. The two year program offered college level course work and high school level activities.

Real estate courses offered by University of North Texas

The college of Business offers undergraduate major in real estate and Master of Science in real Estate which prepares the students to work in property management business, brokerage, and Real Estate Development Company.

Undergraduate major in real estate

The undergraduate course in real estate is offered as Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate under the college of Business. Real estate major  courses in residential property management requires 18 credit hours in courses including .Principles of Real Estate, Real Estate Finance, Property Management, Real Estate Investments, Real Estate Valuation and, Real Estate Law and Contract. Besides classes led by eminent teachers, hands on experience and workshops are also offered in field of study. The students are required to score a minimum of 2.5 GPA to complete the program successfully.

Graduate course in Real estate

Master of Science in Real Estate Analysis course provided by the University of Business which helps to develop advanced skills in the field of real estate and helps the students to expertise in these fields in a short period of the program. The course prepares the students to work in fields like Cost Estimator, Development Manager, Financial Analyst, Investment Analyst, Portfolio Manager, Property, Real Estate, and Community Association Manager, and Real Estate Broker. A minimum of thirty credit hours are needed in the course which includes 15 hours background course, 12 hour foundation course, and five required course of 15 hours and an elective course. The course also includes a three credit hour internship program.

Certificate in residential program

The certificate course in residential program requires a minimum of twelve credit hours. The students are required to complete three credit hours each in property management, advanced management and property management law. A minimum of grade C is required for the course.
