The Texas A & M University (TAMU) is a public research University established in the year 1876. Today it is one of the largest universities with around 50 thousand students benefiting from its undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. This seventh largest university is located at College station, Texas with main campus spanning more than 5000 acres of land. The university also has campus at Galveston, Texas and one at Qatar. The college has been ranked the Washington monthly as best in the country on the basis of 'contribution to public interest'.

Colleges and Schools under Texas A & M University

 There are ten colleges under the university, most of which are ranked among the best in the country, and seven colleges are the largest based on the students enrolment.

TAMU College of arts and Science

The college has been established at the same time as the University itself as the Agricultural & Mechanical College of Texas. It provides undergraduate minor, major and option; graduate and distance education program in various fields of studies.  It provides 47 masters and 27 doctoral programs along with 6 distance education courses.

College of Architecture

The college of Architecture is the best and the largest of its kind in the country and its graduate and undergraduate programs has been ranked among the first few in the United States. It provides nine masters degree and five bachelors' degree program in design, planning, construction and land development. The college also provides four professional degree courses in the field of design and planning and doctoral degrees in architecture and urban & regional planning.

The Bush School of Government and Public service

The school inspired by George Bush's vision aims at creating leadership quality and compassion among individuals. It provides masters degree in public service and Administration (MPSA) and in International Affairs (MPIA) it also provides three joined degree program with department of Political Science and the Department o Economics.

Mays Business School

The Texas A & M Mays Business school offers undergraduate, Graduate and doctoral degree in accounting, finance, operation management, and marketing. It provides undergraduate degrees like Bachelor of Business administration in Accounting, business honors, finance, marketing, management information system, supply chain management and management; Bachelor of Science in agribusiness, minor in business and five certificate programs. It provides masters degree in business, science, real estate and agribusiness. Graduate certificate programs and Ph D programs are also available.

College of Education and Human Development (CEHD)

This college under the Texas a & M University established in the year 1969 is divided into four academic department which are Educational Administration and Human Resources, Educational Psychology, Health and Kinesiology, and Teaching, Learning and Culture; all of which provides undergraduate and graduate programs. The programs are offered in nine bachelor minor, 12 masters and 14 doctoral degrees.

Texas Dwight Look College of Engineering

This is the largest college under the Texas University and has more than ten thousand students' pursuing their engineering degree. The college has been ranked among the best engineering college and offers the best faculty in the relevant fields. It offers 16 Bachelor of Science Degree, 17 Master of Science degrees and 14 Master of Engineering degrees. It also offers other masters degrees and Ph D opportunities.

The College of Geosciences

The college of Geosciences offers courses and programs related biosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere and human culture. This college shapes the future professionals in the field of geosciences through the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees offered in related subjects. The four departments under the College of Geosciences are the department of Atmospheric Science, geology and Geophysics, Geography and Oceanography. The Environmental program in geosciences and Water degree program are the two interdisciplinary programs offered by the University.

College of Liberal arts

The college of Liberal Arts offers is a major in international education and offers courses in humanities, performing arts and social & behavioral science. It has twelve departments under it which offers courses and programs led by eminent teachers. Institute of Nautical Archaeology (INA), Center for the Study of the First Americans (CSFA), Center for Maritime Archaeology and Conservation (CMAC), English Language Institute (ELI), Glasscock Center for Humanities Research (GCHR), Mexican American and U.S. Latino Research Center (MALRC), Public Policy Research Institute (PPRI), and Race and Ethnic Studies Institute (RESI) are the institute and centers hosted by the college.

College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science

The college was started as a small school of veterinary medicine in the year 1916 and today it has become one of the major centre for Veterinary education and medical & research centre. Its seven departments under the college includes Veterinary Integrative Biosciences (VIBS), Veterinary Pathobiology (VTPB), Veterinary Physiology & Pharmacology (VTPP), Large Animal Clinical Sciences (LACS), Small Animal Clinical Sciences (SACS)  and Biomedical Science (BIMS); which provides the best programs and research opportunities.

College of Science

The Texas College of Science provides the best education and research opportunity in the field of Science. The departments of study under the college are biology, chemistry, Statistics, Physics and Astronomy, and mathematics. The college offers undergraduate, graduate and masters degree in the specific field and an opportunity for Doctoral studies under these basic science departments.

Real estate course under Texas University

The Mays Business School under Texas A & M University provides graduate program in Master of Real Estate ( MRE). This course integrates the study of real estate and business which is indeed very helpful when you go out to the professional field. The knowledge of real estate is made wholesome with business education which also includes accounting, finance, law and professional internship programs.

Master of Real estate (MRE)

The Master of Real estate course is a 37 hours program which provides the all the basic skills needed in the profession. But for a student without prior contact with the subject, up to 40 hours will be needed. The program is made of eleven core courses and two elective courses to be selected on individual taste and preference. The program also includes a twelve week internship program which allows a hand on practice.

Foundation courses

Basic courses are to be completed by students who have not undergone business coursework prior to the MRE program. The prerequisite course for such students is a 12 hour course on four papers; Accounting concepts and procedure; Principles of Economics; financial Management for non Business and Statistics in Research.

Core courses

Students who have prior course work in business administration can directly enter the 32 credit hour Core course which includes Land Economics, real Property Analysis, RealProperty Finance, Real property Valuation I, Real Property Valuation II, Financing Real Estate Investment, Commercial Real estate Law, real Estate Development analysis, professional Internship, directed Studies, and Real Property GIS application.

Elective courses

The students are also required to complete two elective which suits them courses of 3 credit hours each. The elective courses are Construction Practices, Financial Management I, Financial Management II, Investment Management,Analysis of Money and Capital Markets,Development and the Environment,Market Analysis for Development,Design and Development Economy, and Negotiations,Law and Legislation Related to Planning.
