DePaul University Master of Science in Real Estate

DePaul University recognized for its academic excellence is a private coeducational institute of research and higher education. It is the largest Roman Catholic University and ranked among the United States top ten private universities. It was established in1898 as St Vincent College and was later named as DePaul University in 1907. The motto of the university is "Viam sapientiae monstrabo tibi" meaning "I will show you the way of wisdom". The schools and colleges under DePaul University

The DePaul University has a total of nine schools colleges with around 25000 undergraduate and graduate students.

College of commerce

College of commerce was established in the year 1912 and is among the oldest business schools in the United States. The college is ranked 8th among the best colleges in the state. It offers undergraduate courses in many courses including Real Estate courses like Real Estate Law, Real Estate analysis, Real Estate Finance and Real estate Investments and graduate courses like Real Estate Investment and Finance, Real Estate Investment and Real Estate Finance.

College of Communication

The college offers graduate and undergraduate degree program and internship and pre employment training opportunity at the radio DePaul. It offers courses in journalism, public relation and advertising, culture and communication and many more.

College of law

The DePaul College of Law was founded in the year 1897 as the Illinois college of law. The intellectual property law and the Health Law program of the college are among the top fifteen placement courses in the United States. The college also offers joined degree courses in public service management and international service.

College of computing and digital media (CDM)

The college is organized into two schools, the school of computing and the school of digital media. It provides graduate and undergraduate courses in computer and information technology and also offers joined undergraduate programs and graduate programs in association with other schools.

College of liberal Arts and Science

College of Liberal arts and science is the largest college at the Lincoln Park community. It offers courses in psychology and modern languages like Chinese study major. The college also offers a number of international programs.

School for New Learning (SNL)

This school was established in 1972 and was the first university wide effort to serve adult students. The Council of adult and Experiential Learning named the college as one of the six "Best Practice" institutions.

School of education

it prepares the educators at the masters, bachelors and doctors level to improve the pre collegiate education. The National Council of Accreditation of Teacher Education accredited this DePaul program back in 1965 and it was the first to be honored. The school offers high quality professional education program led by guided by Professional Multicultural Educators.

School of Music

The school provides a number of undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs in different areas of music. The bachelor degree offered are bachelor of Music in performance, composition, jazz studies, music Education and Performing Arts management, Bachelor of science in sound recording technology, and Bachelor of Arts in Music. The Master degrees are provided in Performance, composition, Jazz studies and Music education. The school of music also provides the post masters certificate in Performance.

The Theater school

This was founded in the year 1925 as the Goodman School of Drama and it offers bachelor of fine Arts (BFA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) programs in every aspect of theater. The theater school produces a number of productions so as to give the students a full involvement and practice of their course.

Continuing and Professional Education

This institute provides a non degree based education courses to individuals and group of employees. The courses offered here include Financial Planning, Human Resources and Training, Management, Marketing, Communications and a lot more.

The Real Estate programs by DePaul University

The DePaul university Department of Real Estate is the first and best place to offer professional real estate education and had offered the first Real Estate course in the year 1913. Almost a century after its very first real estate course, today a wide number of graduate and undergraduate real estate courses are availed by this esteemed university.

Undergraduate Real Estate major

This is an undergraduate degree which involves a broader program of interdisciplinary nature. There are eight courses offered for Bachelor of Science in real estate's including five compulsory courses and three elective courses. The compulsory courses are Quantitative reasoning, Real estate Law, Real Estate Analysis, real Estate finance, and Real Estate Investment. Additional resources such as scholarship, placement and internship are also provided by the DePaul real estate department and students are given a chance to participate in their Real Estate Organization. The students of real estate are required to complete 28 hours at DePaul University requiring a minimum average of 2.7 acquiring a minimum average grade of a 2.7 and a minimum grade of C in all the courses.

Undergraduate Real Estate minor

The real estate minor requires a total of four courses covering sixteen quarter hours. Real estate finance, Real estate Investment and Rea Estate Analysis are the three required courses and the students can choose from the many real estate elective courses. The students must complete the minor with a minimum average point of 2.7 and a minimum grade of C.

Master of Business Administration on Finance and Investment

The MBA program of the DePaul University prepares the students in various areas of business field along with in depth course in real estate. The course requires twelve core, foundation and business decision making courses along with six elective courses. The basic real estate concentration course consist of real estate Finance and real estate investment and finance as the two required courses and the third elective course can be chosen from legal issue in real Estate, Precision  marketing, Urban and Community analysis, Land Use planning law, environmental law or from some others.

Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE)

The DePaul Master of science in Real estate is a highly focused and specialized degree arranged as a part time degree course so as to accommodate the working professionals. Full time students can complete the course in a year with sufficient courses in each quarter and can be completed in one and a half years by part time students.

The program has 12 courses of which seven core courses and five are elective. The student who does not have a degree in business should take a course in accounting or economics prior to enrolment into the program. The core courses of the program are Legal Issues in Real Estate, Quantitative Analysis, Financial Management, Real Estate Investment and Finance, Real Estate Finance, real Estate Market analysis and Valuation and Real Estate Investment.
