Vomiting Home Remedies

Vomiting is mostly seen in women at the time of pregnancy. But one can also vomit due to travelling, headache, trouble in stomach, exposure to excessive heat or due to eating unhygienic or unhealthful foods. If a person is suffering from some other illness also he/ she can feel like vomiting as a symptom of that disease. While vomiting, the stomach forces all the foods and liquids inside it to come out. As it is a common ailment, you do not need to rush to the hospital immediately after vomiting once or twice in a day. By knowing some of the home remedies for vomiting will help you in sorting out the problem. But before that, let’s know about a few symptoms of vomiting.

  • Light-headedness
  • Accumulation of a big amount of saliva in the mouth
  • Change in body temperature
  • Feeling trouble while swallowing foods
  • High rate of heart beat

As almost all human being has vomited at least once in his/her childhood, the symptoms of vomiting are well-known to everyone. Whenever you feel like vomiting you should find the wash room or garbage pail, though it is not possible all the time. So knowing some home remedies to control vomiting will help you in avoiding the social awkwardness.

Vomiting Home Remedies

  • Consume the ashes of cardamoms by mixing it with honey.
  •  Suck a piece of lemon or ice slowly.
  • Take the bark of Peepal tree. Burn it and put out it in water. Strain the water in a piece of cloth and drink it once in every six to eight hours.
  • Prepare a paste of parched rice and dilute it in water. Add the powders of cloves, cardamom and sugar to that solution. Consume it to get relief.
  • Take the skin of the lemon out and dry it. Burn the skin to collect ashes. Mix the ashes with water and consume to control vomiting.
  • Prepare a paste of onion and mint mixed together. Eat one or two tablespoons of that paste three to four times in a day.
  • Simply suck on two or three cloves.
  • Take a few amount of basil juice. Add equal amount of mint and ginger juice. You can also mix a little amount of saunf arka to it. Consume the mixture in every four hours a day.
  • If the reason of vomiting is excessive heat, dip and mash tamarind in water and drink the water by straining it.
  • Prepare a powder of five cloves and ten grams of sugar candy. Mix the powder into water and drink it.
  • Take the herbal tea prepared of ginger. It will reduce the vomiting and nausea.
  • Whenever you are feeling nauseated, take cinnamon tea to get relief.

After vomiting take lots of liquid like coconut water. Add a little amount of salt and sugar to a glass of chilled lime juice. This solution also works effectively if taken in every two hours. Other liquid foods like vegetable and fruit juices will also play a major role in reducing vomiting and nausea. But you need to take these liquid foods very slowly as your stomach is preparing itself to accommodate some amount of food inside it, immediately after vomiting.

After twelve hours of vomiting you can take solid foods like rice, oatmeal and pulped potatoes. Do not take spicy, oily or heavy food as the stomach need to put pressure to digest such kind of foods.
