Vegetable Puff Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • Maida - 2½ cups 
  • Vanaspati – 4 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water

For the MasalaFilling:

  • Onions, finely chopped - ½ mediumsized
  • Potatoes - 4 Medium Sized
  • Peas - 3 tablespoons
  • Beans – 6
  • Green chilies-2
  • Carrot - 1
  • Lemon – 1
  • Sprig Cilantro, chopped – 1
  • Cumin seeds - ½ teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - ¼ teaspoon
  • Garammasala powder - ½  teaspoon
  • Redchili powder - ½ teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - to fry
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Garlic, flakes – 2
  • Ginger- 1 cm

Preparation Method for Vegetable Puff Recipe

  • Knead Maida in to smooth dough and keep aside covered with wet cloth.

  • Boil potatoes, peas, beans and carrot and mash potato when it is boiled.

  • Heat oil in a pan, adding cumin seeds,ginger, garlic and chilly paste.  

  • Add chopped onions, boiled vegetables and fry them adding all the spices for seasoning.

  • Mix well until everything fries well. Now squeeze lemon and garnish it with cilantro and remove the pan from fire.

  • Take a small ball of dough and roll it to a rectangle. Apply melted vanaspathy on it leaving the edges. Join the edges and roll it down once again. Repeat this step once or twice.

  • Stuff the mixed vegetables fillings in the small rectangular piece of rolled dough and join the edges.

  • Preheat the oven up to 300 C and bake for 15 minutes. Vegetable puffs are ready.
