You can use wide-brimmed sun hat which provides shade for your face and prevents hairs from being damaged. The summer sun lightens our days, rejuvenates our spirits, and bolsters our vitamin D levels, but it's also equally damaging to the skin. Exposure to the sun's rays can catapult skin aging, wrinkles, discoloration, sagging, and age spots.

Wrinkles appear when the skin loses elasticity. This may be due to a number of factors, many of them age-related. The lining of fat cells under the dermis begins to atrophy and also the network of easting and collagen fibers starts getting feeble that support the skin. It all leads to the outer skin, or epidermis, getting less resilient and loses much of its potential to retain moisture. This turns it less elastic leading to sagging skin and wrinkles.

Sun Exposure Can Catapult Aging and Damage Skin

Exposure to sun not only exacerbates the results of aging on skin but it also generates additional damage called as photo-aging. Researchers believe that about 90% of the symptoms of premature skin aging can be the result of the sun's ultraviolet rays, which can eliminate the crucial collagen fibers that are the skin's prominent structural protein.

In addition, sun exposure can also lead to accumulation of abnormal elastic fibers. Under ideal situation elastic is the protein that allows the skin to stretch, but the unusual elastic fibers produced by sun exposure in fact degrading collagen which leads to sagging and wrinkling of the skin.

Coenzyme Q10 Can be a Remedy to Aging

CoQ10 is a natural agent found in each cell in the body. By boosting energy production in the cells the coenzyme supports the skin's collagen structural framework, decreases the thinning of the sub-dermal layer of fat cells, and enhances the skin's potential to retain moisture.

CoQ10 is also a great antioxidant and it can also be an impeccable tool for combating skin aging. Antioxidants are components which can neutralize free radicals, which are inconstant molecules generated by the phenomenon of cellular oxidation. Free radicals scavenge and destroy the cells with which they interact, and free radical damage has been considered as a causal component in many disorders, including most age-related disorders and diseases.

As exposure to the harmful sun rays emitting ultraviolet rays is considered to generate comprehensive free radical harm to the skin, antioxidant CoQ10's healing, soothing, neutralizing, and cell repair ability make it a great preventive ingredient as well as a treatment for sun-damaged skin.
