The quality of the skin depends a lot upon the nutrition of a person. If a person has a balanced diet which supplies the body and the skin with all the vitamins and minerals that it needs then that person has a healthy and glowing skin. On the other hand if a person does not have a balanced diet and the skin and the body is not getting enough nutrients then the quality of the skin deteriorates. In short the skin appears to be blotchy, saggy and lifeless.

- Vitamin D is great for the skin as it promotes and helps in the development of skin cells. It moisturizes the skin and makes it more apt for absorbing and keeping the moisture locked in the skin so as to not appear dry or scaly. It also helps lighten blemishes made by acne.
- Vitamin E is important for growth of healthy skin tissue. It also ensures that harmful toxins and free radicals which might cause harm to the skin are flushed out. This helps in reducing the occurrence of acne in people. Vitamin E is also great for people who have burned themselves accidentally or have complains regarding skin inflammation and irritation.
All in all one needs an adequate supply of vitamins if they want to ensure healthy skin without any unnecessary marks, blemishes or acne.
