Prostate Disorders Home Remedies

What is Prostate Disorder

Most men who have crossed the age of 60 (and some even in their 50s) experience some signs of prostate disorders. The three widely found disorders are prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a non cancerous distension of the prostate; prostatitis, an inflammatory disorder; and prostate cancer.

Function of Prostate

The prostate's main function is to generate an essential portion of the seminal fluid that contains sperm. This walnut-shaped gland found just below a man's bladder starts working in near puberty and continues to develop and grow. This distension doesn't normally cause symptoms until after age 40, and it doesn't cause problems until the age of 60 or later than that.

A blown up prostate is troublesome as it compresses the urethra, generating problems with urination and tormenting the bladder. The symptoms of prostate problems may encompass:

  • Difficulty in urinating
  • Problem in starting urination
  • Trouble in emptying the bladder
  • Frequent urination, particularly at night
  • Urine dribbles despite the urge to urinate
  • Painful ejaculation
  • Inflammation when urinating
  • Uncontrolled dribbling post urination
  • Pain beneath the scrotum

Taking prostate problems easily, as some men might do, isn't a great idea. If left untreated, prostate problems can worsen, become more traumatic, and can lead to severe complications, which may include bladder and kidney infections.

Changes in diet can enable some relief in certain prostate discomforts and, in some events may diminish the susceptibilities of surfacing prostate cancer.
