Lamb Roast Ingredients

  • 2 racks of lamb with about seven to eight ribs on each side
  •  2 large cloves of garlic (cut in to thin slivers)
  •  salt to taste, ½ a cup of fresh honey
  •  1/3 cup of firmly packed brown sugar
  •  6 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  •  ½ a teaspoon of garlic powder
  •  1 teaspoon of lemon zest
  •  1 tablespoon of freshly chopped mint leaves
  • and ½ cup of finely chopped pecans.

Preparation Method for Lamb Roast Recipe

The oven needs to be heated at around 325 degrees. The best way to prepare this dish is to cut small slits all over the lamb and insert these slits with garlic slivers. This way there is uniformity to the flavor. The rack of the lamb should be placed in such a way that it is bone side down in a shallow roasting pan and roasted for about 30 minutes. While the lamb is being roasted one can mix the honey, brown sugar, and lemon juice and garlic powder in a saucepan. This should be heated over a low flame so that the sugar dissolves instead of caramelizing. After the sugar dissolves one should stop the heating and introduce mint leaves, lemon peel and pecans in to it. This whole mixture should be poured over the lamb and then the lamb should be put for roasting for about 30 to 45 minutes at 160F.
