In the traditional style of hysterectomy doctors do the surgery by doing a large vertical incision on the abdominal wall. This method is traditional and the patient may feel a bit of pain and soreness in the cut area. A method through vagina is also developed where the operation is done through the vaginal canal. This is relatively a new method and is used successfully throughout the world. But later additions to this technology gave birth to the technique called laparoscopic hysterectomy in which some tubes will be inserted through a small hole near the navel and the surgery is done through it which results in easy and effective treatment.
