How to use emulsion skin care?
Skin care routine - Toner Essence Emulsion?
Description : Is it correct to apply toner first (after cleansing), followed by essence, then emulsion? What exactly are the functions of those skin care stuffs, ie toner, essence, emulsion etc. ? I also have a spot gel for acne, when should i apply it? Before essence or after everything? Thank you in advance=)
Answer : Some websites say toner, essence, and then emulsion. But other websites say toner, emulsion, and then essence. As long as toner is first, I don't think it matters. I actually do toner, emulsion, essence, and cream. Toner tightens your pores and removes dead cells and leftover residue from your cleanser. Toners are a must have in your daily skin care routine. Emulsion is basically a light moisturizer. I use it second because I want my skin to retain some moisture before applying anything else. It's not really necessary, but if you can find it, (drugstores don't usually sell emulsion) I suggest you use it. Essence is a very light, concentrated treatment to correct skin problems. (dark spots, wrinkles, etc.) It is easily absorbed and penetrates deep into your skin. I reccommend waiting 5-10 minutes AFTER applying your essence before you apply any other moisturizer. If you have drier skin, use another moisturizer after all of this. Maybe a cream moisturizer. So here are the FIVE steps: (it's usually called the asian skin care routine) Double Cleansing--->Toner---> Emulsion ---> Essence ---> Cream I highly reccommend using a mask after double cleansing. You don't have to use masks everyday. There are also many kinds. Sheets, gel, clay, etc. Use the spot gel after you apply everything. I'll list some websites for you... Also, just type in "asian skin care routine" in google. Best of luck! xoxo

Question on Korean skin care products?
Description : I'm trying to buy Korean skin care products but I find that they are called different things, for example, the way hair conditioner in Korea is called "rinse". . . But the people don't really understand when I ask for toner or moisturizer... and all the products are labeled as "serum", "emulsion", "softener", "cream". . . What do those four words mean and what are their "English" equivalents?!
Answer : Preface: I don't know anything about Korean-specific skincare. So my answers may not be perfect, but I think they'll get the gist right. A serum is going to be the heaviest of the 4. It will be a liquid, similar to an oil. If you have supremely dry skin, this is the way to go. An emulsion would be next heaviest. It would be in between a serum and a cream. A cream would be second lightest, like a thick lotion. A softener would be essentially a lotion. I'm not sure what you'd look for for toner...perhaps a pore tightener?
Are lotus skin care product really good for sensitive skin?
Description : esp. lotus neem face wash..fruit pack...whitening mosturiser micro-emulsion spf 25
Answer : Pack is ok... but dont use so many chemical products on ur skin.. it may giv temporary change..but its with chemicals which gradually start ruining ur skin.. use just natural things like turmeric, lemon juice, curds, yogurt, apply ice cubes, grind almond, milk, honey, etc. they are the best for our skin which are absolutely without chemicals..mix lemon juice in milk and apply everyday.. tomato for removing tan..etc.. honey and cinnamon powder.. etc. do these

Looking for skin care products from the 70's?
Description : A jar of green herbal emulsion, like Vaseline, made by someone like Clairol, or a like American company. It actually exfoliated on some level.
Answer : Hey, that is over 30 years ago! Like, ya know - it's not made any more. You said green herbal emulsion - that would be by now black slime. Try something new. There are a lot of good products out now - better quality and they smell much better too.
Homemade lotion and skin care products...?
Description : I've seen NUMEROUS different recipes online, so I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the absolute best recipe or method, rather, for each individual product. For instance, is oil in water emulsion the best for a lotion, or water in oil? ... Is it best heated on a stove or in a microwave?... Is it better with or without water?... Anything will help. Thanks so much!

Anti-Aging products and Acne prone skin (for men)?
Description : I am a 28-year-old asian guy who enjoyed acne-free beautiful skin when I was in my early teens 'til age 26. It all went downhill from there. Acne attacked my skin and now I look 'ugh'. Fortunately, with help from dermatologists my battles with it has stabilized though I still have acne scars and occassional acne on my oily skin. I'm getting older and I know by age 30 men should start using anti-aging products to combat skin aging. The problem is dermatologists forbid me from using any moisturizers (even those that are high-quality) and limits me with a facial wash and toner only (completely skipping 'step 3' of skin care). I admit it has done help, my acne problems have stabilized. But I'm worried about my skin not getting any anti-aging treatments and it's showing signs already. This is quite a problem for me because all anti-aging products are all in moisturizer form (milk, gel, cream, mask, and emulsions) - all things which I can't use because my skin reacts to them negatively.
Answer : Try pro-activ
