Hara Kebab Ingredients

  • 4- Potatoes (boiled)
  • 1 Cup- Green peas (boiled)
  • 100 gms- Spinach
  • 1 tbsp- Green chilies (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp- Ginger (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp- Fresh coriander (chopped)
  • 1 tsp- Chaat masala
  • 2 tbsp- Cornflour
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Preparation Method for Hara Kebab Recipe

Hara kebab is a tasty snack. Let’s see how this North Indian cuisine is made. In a pressure cooker boil the potatoes. Once done peel the skin and keep them aside. In two separate vessels, boil the green peas and blanch the spinach in a lot of salt water.

Now in a shallow vessel, mash the potatoes, green peas and the spinach. Mix them well. Now add the chopped green chilies, chopped ginger, green coriander, salt and chaat masala. Add some cornflour to bind it together. Mix everything together and keep it aside.

Now make small balls of equal sizes with this mixture. Take each ball and with your palm flatten it in between to give a flat round shape.

Take a non-stick pan and heat some oil in it. One by one drop the tikkies in the oil and deep fry it. Fry them for about four minutes till they turn golden brown. Your hara Kebab is ready to serve.

This dish goes well with tomato sauce or green chutney. It is usually relished as evening snacks or starters.
