History of face lift

Germany’s Eugene Hollander Herman performed the first face lift operation in 1901. In the early days of the facelift procedure, stress was laid on rearranging the skin with an objective of covering up the signs of wrinkles and creases. In the subsequent period of 70s, doctors realized the significance of repositioning deeper tissues and muscles in order to provide durable, long-lasting solutions to the needy patients. Further advancement was made in the year 1974 when the doctors succeeded in repositioning the Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System (SMAS).

Types of Face Lift

Also, general anesthesia is not necessitated and the time involves under this procedure is not too long. However, the time recovery period is extremely short.
