  • Patient should not drink anything after dental anesthesia is given as there may arise a possibility of swallowing the drug that may result into choking.

  • Patient will return back to his normal condition within 2-3 hours after surgery is completed. If not then he should consult his dentist.

Dental Anesthesia Recovery

After the surgery is completed anesthetic and staff members provide an extra oxygen mask to patient and monitor the airways. They keep on checking his blood pressure, pulse rate, oxygen, respiratory rate, and temperature. They check that patient is coming back to conscious state. In local anesthesia patient can immediately go back home after coming in conscious state. For testing staff members give him paper and pen to write, in this way they test patient consciousness. Another test is, they see whether patient is able to walk properly straight or not.  Patient can recover faster after anesthesia if he is not having any allergies or side effect. In this case he should consult to dentist immediately.
