Makeup is the best way to highlight your facial features, at the same time it is an art of hiding the non attractive features of the face. Earlier, women wore makeup so that the face looked made up. Now women prefer wearing makeup to have a more natural and radiant look.
These days women like makeup to look more natural so that it can highlight the best features of the face. Today, the market is full of different makeup brands and products. Women have a more choice to select than what they used to have in the past. There are different variations in makeup; therefore makeup can be worn for different occasions. A few variations in makeup are night makeup, day makeup and party makeup and so on. Below are a few tips for day makeup:
When it comes to a day makeup, there are a couple of things that a person needs to remember. Makeup during the day should be light and subtle so that it can protect the skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Extra care should be taken especially during the day as a few people may have sensitive skin and the skin can get damaged easily.
Step 1: When you wake up in the morning, wash your face with a face-wash and exfoliate your face. A face scrub is a good way to remove dead cells and get a soft skin.
Step 2: Before you apply makeup, you should apply some moisturizer that contains UVA and UVB. The moisturizer should also contain SPF15. Use a glazed moisturizer as it is best for a day makeup. A moisturizer is considered to be a base for any makeup as it protects the skin from ultraviolet rays, pollution and other harmful chemicals.
Step 3: The next step is to apply foundation. Foundation is available in three different forms- solid, liquid and cream. When it comes to a day makeup, liquid foundation is more preferable. It remains intact on the face and keeps the face fresh throughout the day. These days foundations are available as mineral and vitamin base. When you are selecting a foundation, go for a shade that is closest to your skin tone as it will easily blend with your tone and give you a natural look. After applying, dab it with a makeup sponge.
Step 4: After applying the foundation, apply some translucent powder on your face and neck. Make sure the color is even in both these areas. Dab the excess powder as you don’t want to have a caked up face.
Step 5: To get a natural look, a gel blusher or cream is the best. Remember the blush has to be applied on your cheekbones and the strokes have to be upwards. A little of it can be applied on the temples for a natural look.
Step 6: During the day you would prefer a soft look with no bright color highlighting your face. Therefore, go for an eye shadow that has earthy colors like beige and brown. These would look simply great. Colors like copper and shades of brown give a natural look.
Step 7: Mascara is another important makeup necessity. Stick to the two basic shades- brown and black. Apply a coat or two as this is enough to make your eyelashes look thick and long.
Step 8: Lipstick is the last thing to complete your look. Avoid going for bright colors like pinks and reds. Rather nude shades with a little sheer or a neutral color would look great.
