Dark Chocolate Cake Ingredients

• Maida: 345 gms
• Unsweetened cocoa powder: 85 gms
• White sugar: 450 gms
• Eggs: 4
• Butter: 225gms
• Water: 475 ml, boiling
• Baking soda: 9 gms
• Baking powder: 2 gms
• Salt: 1/4 tsp
• Vanilla essence: 8 ml

Preparation Method for Dark Chocolate Cake Recipe

• Preheat oven to 175 degrees
• In a bowl pour boiling water over cocoa powder and mix until smooth.  Set aside to cool.
• Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and set aside.
• In a large bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Blend in eggs one at a time and finally add the vanilla essence.
• Add flour and cocoa alternately and blend until smooth.
• Pour in a circular baking pan and bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
