Cream Cheese Blintzes Ingredients

 

  • A pound of white bread
  • 4 tablespoons of white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
  • 8 ounces of softened cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • ½ cup of melted butter
  • Pint of sour cream

 

Preparation Method for Cream Cheese Blintzes Recipe

 

The oven needs to be pre heated to around 350 degrees F. The cookie sheet to be used has to be sprayed with enough of non stick cooking spray. 

The bread will not work if the crust is used so one has to cut off the thick crust of the bread loaf while rolling the slices flat. Then one has to mix the sugar and the cinnamon in a small bowl which will be used in the final stages of the preparation. The large mixing bowl has to be used for mixing cream cheese, milk and vanilla until the whole mixture is extremely smooth. 

This mixture then has to be applied on the slices of bread. Then the slices should be rolled up and dipped in to melted butter in order to acquire that golden glaze on top in the oven. After the melted butter the rolls have to be covered with sugar and cinnamon mixture prepared beforehand. After getting the rolls out of the oven they can be cut and served along with a portion of sour cream.

Courses: These blintzes can be served as dessert or a light meal/snack etc.
