Chili Rice Casserole Ingredients

  • Three cups of cooked white rice
  • 1-1/2 cups of sour cream
  • ½ a cup of milk
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 4 oz. can of chopped green chilies or jalapenos (undrained)
  • 2 cups of shredded Monterey Jack cheese 
  • Salt and pepper 

Preparation Method for Chili Rice Casserole Recipe

The first thing to do is to preheat the oven up to 350 degrees F. The next thing to do is take a large bowl and mix the rice, sour cream, milk, eggs, chilies, cheese along with salt and pepper. After mixing all of it together this mixture should be put in to a 2 quart casserole dish which has been greased. 

The casserole dish should then be put in the oven and cooked for 40 to 45 minutes. The important thing is to remember that the oven should be preheated at the right temperature and that the casserole dish should be greased properly. 

Sometimes people even cook this dish and store it in the freezer for a while before using it again. If a person wants to cook and store this dish then he has to undercook the rice by five minutes. 

Then mix all the ingredients and add two tablespoons of cornstarch. All one has to do is remove this mixture from the freezer and put it in the microwave after thawing.
