Beauty Tips for Face

Everyone wants to put their best face forward. In many cases, it is really what makes the first impression - at work, while out on a date or even when you’re just hanging out. So it is necessary that you spend some time maintaining your face. More than anything - when you look in the mirror you will be pleased with what you see. Typically, on our day out, we are exposed to the sun and pollution. Add to that long hours and the stress of the work life, and you realize that it all takes its toll on our skin. It’s best to develop a disciplined care routine for your skin so that you avoid looking older and feel better about yourself.

‘Keeping your face clean’ is a critical mantra to keep your face fresh. The following are strongly recommended tips for maintaining the beauty of the face:

  • Cleansing: Be sure to cleanse your face regularly and especially before you go to bed. You need to use a cleaning lotion or cream. You can buy any brand that you’re comfortable with. Be sure to cleanse both your face and your neck. You can use a cotton ball or a tissue to do this. Strongly recommended that you do this in an upward motion.
  • Exfoliating: This is the next step to cleaning. You should do this a minimum of once a week. If it’s done too often, though, it could cause more damage to the skin than good. Doing it once a week is necessary to rejuvenate the skin, though. Exfoliating will remove dead cells, clear the pores and reduce black heads. You need to pick a product best suited to your skin - if it is dry, use a cream based scrub and if it is normal or oily - use a scrub that has more granules. Rinse with cool water for best results.
  • Toning: After cleaning and exfoliating, the next step is toning. What toners do is to remove any traces of dirt and refresh the skin. It takes off all residual make up or cleanser. Again, it is necessary to do this across your face and neck. You can buy a toner that suits your skin best and use it with a cotton ball. Focus on the blackhead areas - the nose and the chin. It helps keep the pores clean and therefore reduce black heads.
  • Moisturizing: The final step after cleansing, exfoliating and toning. Your skin will be a little dry when you are done with that. So it’s best to replenish it with some suppleness and softness by using a good suited moisturizer. Again, be sure to use it on the face and neck. If it is during the summer time, it is essential that you moisturize regularly - once every four hours. In fact, in those months you should use a lotion which has at least 15 SPF in it. If it is winter, make sure that your lotion is strong enough not to let your skin get dry from the cold.
