Today Obesity is seems to be major problem all over the world. Because of lack of time they are switching towards junk and fast food which is not at all healthy and as a result they suffer from obesity which leads to severe disease like heart diseases etc. Therefore the person who has gained lots of weight has to go through bariatric surgery in which excess of fat is taken out and stomach is made small and attached to the small intestine with the stomach so that extra calories and fat should not absorbed in the body.

There are many ways and methods by which person can get rid of excess weight but it requires lots of patience and sacrifices and those healthy programs are very time consuming.

Dis-advantages of Bariatric Surgery

  1. Because of this surgery there made a narrow stomach so patient may have vomiting after having the food. Also if the food not chewed properly or eaten quickly there are chances of vomiting.

  2. As some part of small intestine is removed so it will absorb only some nutrients therefore patient may feel mal nourishment.

  3. Person may have diarrhea after Gastric Bypass Surgery.

  4. It takes a long period of time for recovery. Also during recovery period he may also suffer from many side effects.

Bariatric Surgery Side-effects

The side effects of Bariatric Surgery are many. The patient may feel nausea all the time, also as stomach capacity is made less so there arises chances of indigestion of food. Not all food material will suit to the patient. Also some patient may experience their hair loss, and loss of muscles from a particular area. Patient may also suffer from dizziness or weakness all the time. It is found that in some patient calcium level decreases a lot. Sometimes patient have gall stones. This surgery puts adverse effect on kidney. Sometimes patient may become a victim of deficiencies after the surgery like anaemia, osteoporosis sometimes condition become so adverse that it causes death of the patient. In order to remove these side effects its necessary to take a proper medication as prescribed by the doctor.
