Passionfruit Slice Ingredients

 

  • 125 grams melted butter to grease
  • 150 gram or 1 cup self raising flour
  • 100 grams or ½ cup desiccated sugar
  • 1 cup coconut grated
  • 1 X 395 gram can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 125 ml or ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon passionfruit pulp  

 

Passionfruit Slice Preparation Method

 

  • Set the oven and preheat to 180 degree C.
  • Take a small bowl and mix flour, sugar & coconut together. 
  • Add melted butter to the mixture and sieve well. 
  • Now take a slice tin lined baking paper and press the mixture into it. 
  • Make sure that the mixture is evenly pressed. 
  • Bake the same in the oven for about 15 minutes or till the mixture turns its colour into light golden brown.
  • After it is baked set it aside so that it cools down and pat the mixture with the help of a wooden spoon gently to make an even level of the same. 
  • Reduce the temperature of the oven to 150 degrees C.
  • With the help of a balloon whisk mix condensed milk, lemon juice and passionfruit pulp together in a bowl and blend till the mixture gets smooth and no lumps are seen. 
  • Now pour the fruit mixture in the top of the coconut mixture and spread it evenly on the base. 
  • Bake it again for 10 to 15 minutes till it is firm to the touch. 
  • Set aside and let it cool down completely. Cut into slices to serve.
  • Your Passionfruit Slice is ready to serve. Serve it with afternoon tea.
