Garlic Mashed Potatoes Preparation Method
Once you taste this recipe you would wonder what made this mash so perfect. It's a fusion of a few key ingredients and cooking process that really created the magic of flavor. The key component is no doubt garlic, which should be sliced about 1/4 inch from the top. It is better to then rub salt, olive oil, and black pepper over the exposed areas. Then roast the garlic in the oven at 215 degrees Celsius (425F) for approximately 25 minutes. After the garlic is done allow it to cool and then peel off the skin of it.
Now it’s time to cook potatoes. You can cook the potatoes in just the same way most potato mash is done, put them in a saucepan and fill the pan with water. Sprinkle in about 1/2 a teaspoon of salt and allow the water to boil. Let the potatoes simmer for about 25 minutes until they are soft enough to be pricked easily with a fork.
After the potatoes are cooked, drain out the water and shake the vessel so that the potatoes break up slightly and are softer and easier to mash. Put the garlic cloves accompanied by some cream and butter into the dish and sprinkle some pepper and salt to sauté the potatoes. Place the lid back and allow the ingredients to mix and give some time for the butter to melt.
Now it's time to mash the potatoes. There are 2 processes this can be done, either you can facilitate an electric whisker to make it smoother and creamy, or simply use a potato masher for nice texture. Now, it’s entirely your personal preference what method you adopt.
Serve the mash onto 8 plates and there you have it, a creamy, delicious, and nutritious meal that'll retain the rosy color of your cheeks for a long time.
