Cinnamon Love Knots Ingredients

For the Rolls

  • All-purpose flour – 5 cups
  • Eggs (beaten) – 2
  • Active yeast – ½ ounce
  • Sugar – ½ cup
  • Warm milk – ½ cup
  • Warm water – ½ cup
  • Butter (softened) – ½ cup
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

For the Topping

  • Ground cinnamon – 2 tablespoons
  • Butter (melted) – ¾ cup
  • Sugar – 2 cups

Cinnamon Love Knots Preparation Method

  • Take the large mixing bowl.
  • Add yeast to water and dissolve
  • Allow to stand for 5 minutes.
  • Add sugar, eggs, butter and salt.
  • Mix in flour to make stiff dough.
  • Knead until smooth and elastic.
  • Put the dough in a greased bowl and leave standing for about 2 hours until the dough rises to about double the size.
  • Make balls about an inch in diameter from the dough,
  • Roll each of the balls into a rope about 8 inches long.
  • In a separate dish, mix the sugar and cinnamon
  • Dip each rope in melted butter and then the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Tie each rope into a knot and seal the ends by pinching.
  • Place on baking sheets and bake in an oven at 370°F for about 15 minutes until the rolls get golden brown
