For the Rolls
- All-purpose flour – 5 cups
- Eggs (beaten) – 2
- Active yeast – ½ ounce
- Sugar – ½ cup
- Warm milk – ½ cup
- Warm water – ½ cup
- Butter (softened) – ½ cup
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
For the Topping
- Ground cinnamon – 2 tablespoons
- Butter (melted) – ¾ cup
- Sugar – 2 cups
Cinnamon Love Knots Preparation Method
- Take the large mixing bowl.
- Add yeast to water and dissolve
- Allow to stand for 5 minutes.
- Add sugar, eggs, butter and salt.
- Mix in flour to make stiff dough.
- Knead until smooth and elastic.
- Put the dough in a greased bowl and leave standing for about 2 hours until the dough rises to about double the size.
- Make balls about an inch in diameter from the dough,
- Roll each of the balls into a rope about 8 inches long.
- In a separate dish, mix the sugar and cinnamon
- Dip each rope in melted butter and then the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Tie each rope into a knot and seal the ends by pinching.
- Place on baking sheets and bake in an oven at 370°F for about 15 minutes until the rolls get golden brown
