Cherry Peanut Butter Balls Ingredients

  • Maraschino cherries with stems - 24
  • Chocolate chips – 12 ounces
  • Butter (softened) – ½ cup
  • Peanut butter – 1 cup
  • Vanilla essence – 1 teaspoon
  • Shortening – ¼ cup
  • Confectionary Sugar – 2 cups

Cherry Peanut Butter Balls Preparation Method

  • Beat butter and peanut butter in a small bowl to a smooth consistency.
  • Add vanilla essence.
  • Slowly, add the confectioner’s sugar and mix until it dissolves.
  • Cover and place in the refrigerator for about an hour.
  • Dry the cherries gently with paper towels.
  • Fill a rounded tablespoon with peanut butter.
  • Wrap it around each cherry.
  • Cover and place in the refrigerator for an hour.
  • Take a small, microwave-safe bowl.
  • Fill the bowl with the chocolate chips and microwave until the chocolate chips melt.
  • Remove peanut butter balls from the fridge and dip them in the chocolate.
  • Allow the excess chocolate to drain off.
  • Refrigerate for an hour before serving
