Baked Lobster Tails Ingredients

  • Lobster tails – 3 (each should weigh 8 to 10 ounces)
  • Fresh parsley, minced – 1 tablespoon
  • Butter (melted) (you can substitute this with olive oil) – 1 tablespoon
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Salt – 1/8 teaspoon
  • Pepper – to taste
  • Lemon juice – 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon wedges – to garnish
  • Extra butter – optional

Baked Lobster Tails Preparation Method

  • Split the lobster tails lengthwise in half.
  • Face the cut side up and cut along the side of the shell, thereby loosening the cartilage which covers the tail meat.
  • Extract the cartilage and throw it away.
  • Pour the water into the baking dish.
  • Mix the salt, pepper and parsley together in a small bowl.
  • Sprinkle the mixture over the lobster.
  • Drizzle lemon juice and butter over the lobster.
  • Bake open in a hot oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Take care not to overcook the lobster – if the flesh becomes opaque, remove from the oven.
  • Serve with a garnish of lemon wedges.
  • You can add extra butter if required.
