IntermediateBaked Lobster Tails Ingredients
- Lobster tails – 3 (each should weigh 8 to 10 ounces)
- Fresh parsley, minced – 1 tablespoon
- Butter (melted) (you can substitute this with olive oil) – 1 tablespoon
- Water – 1 cup
- Salt – 1/8 teaspoon
- Pepper – to taste
- Lemon juice – 2 tablespoons
- Lemon wedges – to garnish
- Extra butter – optional
Baked Lobster Tails Preparation Method
- Split the lobster tails lengthwise in half.
- Face the cut side up and cut along the side of the shell, thereby loosening the cartilage which covers the tail meat.
- Extract the cartilage and throw it away.
- Pour the water into the baking dish.
- Mix the salt, pepper and parsley together in a small bowl.
- Sprinkle the mixture over the lobster.
- Drizzle lemon juice and butter over the lobster.
- Bake open in a hot oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Take care not to overcook the lobster – if the flesh becomes opaque, remove from the oven.
- Serve with a garnish of lemon wedges.
- You can add extra butter if required.
