Asparagus with Sesame Seeds Ingredients

  • Fresh Asparagus, trimmed – 1 bunch
  • Black sesame seeds, roasted – 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon Juice – of half a lemon
  • Salt and pepper – to taste

Asparagus with Sesame Seeds Preparation Method

  1. Heat the heavy-bottomed skillet on a medium flame.
  2. Place the sesame seeds in the skillet.
  3. Gently stir the sesame seeds until lightly roasted.
  4. Put the sesame seeds aside.
  5. Half-fill the large saucepan with water.
  6. Bring the water to a boil.
  7. Add the asparagus and allow boiling for about 5 minutes.
  8. Strain in the colander and allow cooling.
  9. Heat the heavy-bottomed skillet, using a high flame.
  10. Add the olive oil.
  11. Add the sesame seeds and stir for half a minute.
  12. Mix in the asparagus.
  13. Stir-fry for about 4 to 5 minutes until the asparagus gets slightly browned.
  14. Serve hot.
