- Fresh Asparagus, trimmed – 1 bunch
- Black sesame seeds, roasted – 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
- Lemon Juice – of half a lemon
- Salt and pepper – to taste
Asparagus with Sesame Seeds Preparation Method
- Heat the heavy-bottomed skillet on a medium flame.
- Place the sesame seeds in the skillet.
- Gently stir the sesame seeds until lightly roasted.
- Put the sesame seeds aside.
- Half-fill the large saucepan with water.
- Bring the water to a boil.
- Add the asparagus and allow boiling for about 5 minutes.
- Strain in the colander and allow cooling.
- Heat the heavy-bottomed skillet, using a high flame.
- Add the olive oil.
- Add the sesame seeds and stir for half a minute.
- Mix in the asparagus.
- Stir-fry for about 4 to 5 minutes until the asparagus gets slightly browned.
- Serve hot.
