In the state of California, there are possibilities of getting dental care for free – through the Donated Dental Services program. Dentists volunteered to provide care to people who have disabilities, those who are very old, those with medical problems or don’t have enough money/income to pay for the needed care. There are no eligibility requirements – or costs to those who qualify for such care. People who are able to bear at least part of the cost are encouraged to do so.
Those who require help have to fill out an application form and they will be called when their application comes up for review. There are many applicants on the waiting list and the program has its limitations as well. The waiting lists are long and many people with serious health problems are still in the system.
